What data this app collects

Data that stays on your device

PetWheel stores the following information locally on your iPhone only. It is never transmitted to any server controlled by us:


Analytics data — collected by Firebase Analytics

PetWheel uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate. Firebase automatically collects:

This data is not linked to your name, email, or any personal identity. No pet names, photos, or activity details are sent to Firebase.

Crash reports — collected by Firebase Crashlytics

PetWheel uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to receive reports when the app crashes or encounters an error. Crashlytics collects:

Crash reports do not contain pet data or Bluetooth data. The data is used solely to diagnose and fix bugs.


Device permissions

Permission Why it’s used
Bluetooth To connect to your ESP32 running wheel sensor and sync sessions
Camera To measure your wheel’s diameter using your camera (optional)
Face ID / Passcode To lock the app if you enable that setting (optional). Biometric data never leaves your device and is managed entirely by iOS

Third parties

PetWheel does not sell data to any third party. The only third-party services used are Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, described above.


Children

PetWheel is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.


Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
